The primary threats are locally heavy rainfall and lightning. Some tributary rivers in eastern Iowa may rise above flood stage over the next several days, as well as a section of the Mississippi River near Burlington. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

along old U.S. Highway 61.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 11.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is near crest. It will then fall below
flood stage Thursday evening.
