...The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in Idaho...

  Portneuf River at Topaz affecting Bannock County.

.Warm temperatures will melt high mountain snowpack and keep river
flows elevated, though flows looks to slightly decrease through the
week as snowpack continues to diminish.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are in the advisory area, remain alert to possible flooding
or the possibility of the advisory being upgraded to a warning.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues.

* WHERE...Portneuf River at Topaz.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, Near bankfull from Pebble Creek Road
  downstream to Inkom. Isolated ponding in flat areas near Symons
  Road.
  At 4.0 feet, Lowland and crop field flooding possible from Pebble
  Creek to Inkom.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM MDT Wednesday the stage was 4.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain steady below flood
    stage at 4.0 feet.
  - Action stage is 3.5 feet.
  - Flood stage is 4.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING FOR SNOWMELT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast,
  though overall snowmelt and resulting flows looks to gradually
  decrease to diminishing snowpack.

* WHERE...Portneuf River at Pocatello.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Water will encroach onto portions of the
  bike and walking trail next to the river in Sacajawea Park in
  Pocatello.
  At 8.5 feet, Sections of Sacajawea Park will be under water and
  the trail is usually closed at this level. Marsh Creek near Inkom
  may also be over its banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 AM MDT Wednesday the stage was 9.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:45 AM MDT Wednesday was 9.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 8.7 feet
    Saturday, May 25.
  - Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    9.6 feet on 05/14/1971.
