...DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS LIKELY LATE TONIGHT AND SATURDAY
MORNING...

.A COLD FRONT MOVE WILL ACROSS THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON AND WILL
BRING A RENEWED PUSH OF COLD ARCTIC AIR INTO THE AREA. AIR
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO FALL TO ZERO TO FIVE BELOW ZERO TO
THE NORTH AND WEST OF CHICAGO TONIGHT...WHICH WILL COMBINE WITH
BLUSTERY NORTHWEST WINDS TO PRODUCE WIND CHILLS AROUND 20 BELOW
ZERO ACROSS MUCH OF FAR NORTHERN ILLINOIS.

* OTHER IMPACTS...BITTER COLD WIND CHILLS CAN CAUSE FROSTBITE TO
  EXPOSED SKIN IN AS LITTLE AS 30 MINUTES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT THE WIND WILL COMBINE WITH THE
VERY COLD AIR TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.

LATE TONIGHT OVER FAR NORTHERN ILLINOIS.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS ARE LIKELY TONIGHT OVER PORTIONS OF
NORTHWEST INDIANA. SOME ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE MAINLY OVER
NORTHEAST PORTER COUNTY.
HAZARDOUS WIND AND WAVE CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE AGAIN SUNDAY AND
SUNDAY EVENING.
ICE JAMS ARE POSSIBLE ON AREA RIVERS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS AROUND 20 BELOW ZERO ARE EXPECTED
EARLY SATURDAY OVER FAR NORTHERN ILLINOIS.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS ARE LIKELY OVER PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST
INDIANA SATURDAY. SOME ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE MAINLY OVER
NORTHEAST PORTER COUNTY.

ACCUMULATING SNOW IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA SUNDAY AND
SUNDAY EVENING. GUSTY WINDS MAY RESULT IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING
SNOW WHICH COULD LEAD TO DIFFICULT TRAVEL IN SOME AREAS.

COLD WEATHER MAY LEAD TO ICE JAMS AND LOCALIZED ICE JAM FLOODING
ON AREA RIVERS.
