1130 AM CDT TUE JUL 28 2015

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

  WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

  THUNDERSTORMS...SOME CAPABLE OF PRODUCING:
    VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS.
    FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

  AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON OVER NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS. THERE WILL BE ANOTHER
THREAT OF THUNDERSTORMS...INCREASING FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS
THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND INTO NORTHWEST INDIANA LATE THIS
    EVENING THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

  DISCUSSION:

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TODAY OVER NORTH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS ASSOCIATED WITH A THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX THAT
DEVELOPED LAST NIGHT AND IS CROSSING THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER
INTO NWRN IL THIS AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...THE GREATER CHANCE OF
THUNDERSTORMS APPEARS TO BE FROM MID-LATE EVENING THROUGH THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS. CONDITIONS GENERALLY DO NOT APPEAR
PARTICULARLY FAVORABLE FOR STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...
    HOWEVER HEAVY RAIN...FREQUENT LIGHTNING...AND PERHAPS
LOCALIZED FLOODING ARE POSSIBLE WITH ANY OF THE MORE INTENSE
    STORMS.

IN ADDITION...PORTIONS OF THE KANKAKEE RIVER IN NORTHWEST
  INDIANA WILL REMAIN IN FLOOD.

FINALLY...HEAT INDEX READINGS OVER 100 ARE FORECAST
TODAY...GENERALLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM AMBOY ILLINOIS TO
  REMINGTON INDIANA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS CHANCES WILL LINGER THROUGH WEDNESDAY
MORNING...MAINLY SOUTH AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 55.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS AGAIN BY SUNDAY OR MONDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NECESSARY THROUGH TONIGHT.
