...THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
130 AM CDT FOR SOUTHEASTERN DE KALB...SOUTHEASTERN MCHENRY...
NORTHEASTERN LA SALLE...NORTHWESTERN COOK...KANE...LAKE...DUPAGE AND
KENDALL COUNTIES...

AT 1125 PM CDT...KANE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED MINOR FLOODING IN
ELBURN ON HARTER ROAD. ONE TO TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAVE
FALLEN ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE ADVISORY AREA. THE VERY HEAVY RAIN HAS
ENDED BUT RUNOFF FROM IT WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO
OCCUR.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
AURORA...NAPERVILLE...ELGIN...WAUKEGAN...ARLINGTON HEIGHTS...
SCHAUMBURG...PALATINE...MOUNT PROSPECT...WHEATON...HOFFMAN ESTATES...
DOWNERS GROVE...LOMBARD...BUFFALO GROVE...CAROL STREAM...
CARPENTERSVILLE...WHEELING...ADDISON...NORTHBROOK...ST. CHARLES AND
NORTH CHICAGO.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

  WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

  THUNDERSTORMS...THE STRONGEST MAY PRODUCE:
   LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND POSSIBLE FLOODING.
   ISOLATED WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

  AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

  SCATTERED STORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH A GOOD
  PART OF THE NIGHT...WITH A LOW SEVERE WEATHER THREAT.

  DISCUSSION:

  THE ATMOSPHERE IS NOT CONDUCIVE FOR SEVERE STORMS...THOUGH HIGH
  AMOUNTS OF MOISTURE MAY LEAD TO LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. DUE TO
  STILL AMBIENT WET CONDITIONS FROM JUNE...LOCALIZED FLOODING
  COULD OCCUR.

FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ON PORTIONS OF THE KANKAKEE AND
ILLINOIS RIVERS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS TUESDAY...MAINLY SOUTH OF
U.S. HIGHWAY 24. PERIODIC CHANCES FOR STORMS WILL EXIST WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

HIGH WAVES WILL LEAD TO DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS ALONG INDIANA
BEACHES AND AT LEAST PORTIONS OF ILLINOIS BEACHES ON TUESDAY AND
TUESDAY NIGHT.

PORTIONS OF THE KANKAKEE AND ILLINOIS RIVERS WILL REMAIN IN
FLOOD.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NECESSARY THROUGH TONIGHT.
