SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA
STARTING THIS EVENING WITH A DUSTING UP TO AN INCH OF SNOW LIKELY
ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 88...AND 1 TO 2 INCHES SOUTH BY
AROUND MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. SNOW WILL CONTINUE ALONG AND SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 80 OVERNIGHT INTO SUNDAY AFTERNOON WHILE THE SNOW
DIMINISHES FARTHER NORTH. THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...TOTAL
SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM A DUSTING UP TO 2 INCHES NORTH
OF THE I-80 CORRIDOR WITH 2 TO 5 INCHES SOUTH. HOWEVER...SOUTHERN
PORTIONS OF FORD... IROQUOIS...AND BENTON COUNTIES MAY SEE
ISOLATED AMOUNTS NEAR 6 INCHES.

NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

LIGHT SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE REGION STARTING LATE THIS EVENING
AND CONTINUE AT TIMES OVERNIGHT...ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF I-80
WHERE THE GREATEST AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

ACCUMULATING SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY WITH THE
GREATEST AMOUNTS GENERALLY SOUTH OF I-80.

A SIGNIFICANT STORM SYSTEM WILL AFFECT THE REGION MONDAY NIGHT
INTO TUESDAY. DEPENDING ON THE EVENTUAL TRACK AND INTENSITY IT
COULD BRING THE THREAT OF EITHER RAIN AND POSSIBLE FLOODING FROM
SNOW MELT...OR POSSIBLY ACCUMULATING WINTRY PRECIPITATION.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NECESSARY THROUGH TONIGHT.
