...Snow Will Impact the Commute in Parts of Northern Illinois...

A band of moderate to heavy snow across far northern Illinois
will sink south through the evening commute. Visibility will drop
down as low as one quarter mile at times. Expect snowfall amounts
of up to one to three inches under the band in less than two
hours, including what has already fallen, especially along and
north of Interstate 88. The combination of a quick snow
accumulation on some roads and low visibility will result in
hazardous travel conditions. Leave extra time to reach your
destination and use caution driving. Slow down on snow covered
roads and in low visibility.
