THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
 LIMITED TO ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM RISK...WITH AN ASSOCIATED:
 LIMITED HAIL AND THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK...WEST OF INTERSTATE 39.
 LIMITED FLOODING RISK...MAINLY ALONG AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 39.

DISCUSSION:

AN ISOLATED STRONG TO MARGINALLY SEVERE STORM IS POSSIBLE IN THE
PRE DAWN HOURS WEST OF INTERSTATE 39. SLOW MOVING STORMS COULD
ALSO PRODUCE HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND LEAD TO FLOODING CONCERNS...MAINLY
ALONG AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 39.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

WEDNESDAY...
  ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM RISK.
  LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
  LIMITED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM RISK.
THURSDAY...
  LIMITED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM RISK...MAINLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 88.
SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY...
  LIMITED THUNDERSTORM RISK.

DISCUSSION:

PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
AS A SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT APPROACHES AND THEN MOVES ACROSS THE
AREA. THERE IS A RISK FOR AT LEAST ISOLATED STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS AND FLOODING ON WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT...WITH
THE SEVERE RISK SHIFTING TO MAINLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 88 ON
THURSDAY. THE PRIMARY HAZARDS FROM ANY STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO BE WIND AND HAIL.

FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ALONG PORTIONS
OF THE IROQUOIS AND KANKAKEE RIVERS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTERS MAY BE NEEDED AFTER MIDNIGHT WEST OF INTERSTATE 39.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 TO 35 MPH.
