This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A few severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and
evening. The main threats are large hail and damaging
winds, with a secondary threat of an isolated tornado.
Heavy rain is also possible, which could lead to a risk
for flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

There is a chance of thunderstorms on Friday. Severe weather
is not anticipated with these storms.

Thunderstorm chances will return again by early next week, but
it`s too early to determine the severe weather potential with
these storms.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and evening.

...The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...

  Pecatonica River at Freeport affecting Stephenson County
  Rock River at Como affecting Whiteside County
  Rock River near Joslin affecting Henry...Rock Island and Whiteside
  Counties
  Rock River at Moline affecting Henry and Rock Island Counties

.Recent heavy rainfall across northern Illinois will result in flooding
through the next several days on portions of the Rock and Pecatonica
Rivers as the water routes downstream.

River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

* Flood Warning for
  The Rock River near Joslin.
* Until Wednesday evening.
* At  9:45 AM Thursday the stage was 9.1 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage late Friday evening...and
  continue rising to 14.6 feet Sunday afternoon. Fall below flood
  stage Wednesday evening.
* Impact...At  14.0 feet...Water affects residences in outlying areas
  immediately along the river including basements, yards, driveways,
  and access roads.

* At 10:30 AM Thursday the stage was 9.9 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Saturday afternoon...and continue
  rising to 13.2 feet Sunday evening. Fall below flood stage
  Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At  13.2 feet...Water affects 60th Street south of John
  Deere Road in Moline and 75th Ave from Green Valley Park 48th St.
  Water is on Canal Road in Big Island. Smith`s Island is affected
  by flood waters.
