.Mississippi River levels continue to rise due to heavy rainfall
from areas upstream this past weekend. Updated forecasts can be
found below.

River forecasts include past precipitation and forecast rainfall for
the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternate route. Turn around, don`t drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Mississippi River at Rock Island LD15.
* Until Thursday morning.
* At  2:00 PM Monday the stage was 15.5 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise to 16.4 feet Tuesday morning. The river will
  fall below flood stage Thursday morning.
* Impact...At  16.5 feet, Water affects Credit Island Lane in
  Davenport and the 4700 block of River Drive in Moline. Water is at
  the base of the flood wall gates at the downtown Rock Island
  riverfront.

* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage this evening and continue rising
  to 16.0 feet Wednesday morning. The river will fall below flood
  stage Thursday.
* Impact...At  16.0 feet, Water affects the park at Andalusia.

* Until Friday morning.
* At  3:15 PM Monday the stage was 15.8 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage this evening and continue
  rising to 18.0 feet Wednesday morning. The river will fall
  below flood stage Friday morning.
* Impact...At  18.0 feet, Water affects most of the Riverside Park
  parking lot.

* Impact...At  18.3 feet...Water affects the railroad tracks near
  Osborn.

* Recent activity...the river continues to steadily rise.
* Forecast...Rise to 15.8 feet Tuesday evening then begin falling.
* Impact...At  15.5 feet...Water affects the intersection of Highways
  150 and 6. Steel Dam is under water in Milan.

There is a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon into
Thursday.

The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk of severe storms for
the entire area Wednesday afternoon and night. Damaging winds and
hail are the main risks.
