.SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA INTO THIS
EVENING. NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH SOME GUSTS TO 35 MPH
WILL CREATE AREAS OF REDUCED VISIBILITIES AT TIMES. PATCHY BLOWING
AND DRIFTING SNOW IS ALSO EXPECTED.

  INCH. STORM TOTALS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES.

* WINDS...WEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH. WINDS
  GRADUALLY DIMINISHING THROUGH THE EVENING.

* IMPACTS...ROADS SNOW AND ICE COVERED AND SLIPPERY. LOCALIZED
  BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL ALSO CAUSE REDUCED AND RAPIDLY
  CHANGING VISIBILITIES...ESPECIALLY ON RURAL AND OPEN
  NORTH/SOUTH ROADWAYS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF EASTERN IOWA
AND NORTHWEST ILLINOIS TODAY AND INTO THE EVENING. ROUNDS OF SNOW
WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY STRONG WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS. GENERAL SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH THE HEAVIEST
AMOUNTS CURRENTLY EXPECTED OVER FAR EAST CENTRAL IOWA INTO NORTHWEST
ILLINOIS. SNOW AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AN INCH OR LESS SOUTH
OF HIGHWAY 34. STRONG WINDS GUSTING UP TO 40 MPH WILL RESULT IN
AREAS OF DRIFTING SNOW AND POOR VISIBILITY. PLEASE SEE THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE FOR MORE COMPLETE
AND UP TO DATE INFORMATION.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A CLIPPER SYSTEM WILL LIKELY BRING MORE ACCUMULATING SNOW TO THE
AREA LATE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF AN
INCH OR TWO POSSIBLE...BEFORE THE SNOW TAPERS OFF EARLY WEDNESDAY
EVENING.

SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT SNOWFALL AMOUNTS AND REDUCED
