This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Very windy conditions will continue through late afternoon and
early evening. Sustained winds of 20 to 35 MPH with gusts to 45
mph will continue across much of the Outlook Area through 6 PM
CST. Some isolated gusts up to 50 MPH will also occur. A wind
advisory continues for areas roughly along and west of a line from
Manchester Iowa, to Clinton Iowa, and to Princeton Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

Spotter activation will not be needed this afternoon or tonight.

...Very windy conditions moving into the area...

.A fast moving storm system will continue to move through the
upper Midwest and into the Great Lakes today. Strong winds on the
back side of the system will continue to bring very windy
conditions to the area through the afternoon.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...

* Winds...Northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Some
  isolated gusts up to 50 MPH possible.

* Timing...Now through the afternoon.

* Impacts...Travel may be hazardous, especially for high profile
  vehicles. Lightweight unsecured objects will be blown around
  and thus should be secured if possible, such as holiday
  decorations.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 mph or greater are
expected, which can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles.  Use extra caution if you are traveling.
