THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

  WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

  THUNDERSTORMS....SOME OF WHICH MAY PRODUCE...
    FREQUENT LIGHTNING
    TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS
    WIND GUSTS TO 55 MPH.

  AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED WITH THE FIRST
ROUND IMPACTING AREAS WEST OF A MCHENRY TO WATSEKA LINE. STORMS
ARE EXPECTED TO SPREAD SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA LATE THIS
AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING AND PERSIST OVERNIGHT.

  DISCUSSION:

EARLY MORNING STORMS OVER IOWA AND THE STORMS WILL WEAKEN AS
THEY MOVE INTO NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS THIS MORNING. INSTABILITY
AND FORCING WILL BE WEAK...SO EXPECTING THOSE STORMS TO
DISSIPATE BY THE EARLY AFTERNOON. STORMS WILL REDEVELOP LATE
THIS AFTERNOON AND PERSIST TONIGHT. INSTABILITY WILL BE VERY
WEAK SO NOT EXPECTING MUCH IN THE WAY OF SEVERE WEATHER.
HOWEVER...TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS ARE VERY LIKELY DUE TO HIGH
  ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80
SATURDAY. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL THAT SOME STORMS COULD BE SEVERE
AS WELL AS PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL SATURDAY NIGHT...ESPECIALLY
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.

THERE WILL BE ADDITIONAL PERIODIC CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS
THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA SUNDAY AND TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

HIGH WAVES ARE LIKELY TO LEAD TO DANGEROUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS
ALONG AREA BEACHES...ESPECIALLY INDIANA SHORES...SUNDAY NIGHT
INTO MONDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NECESSARY THROUGH TONIGHT.
