...URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR
KNOX...FULTON...NORTHERN WOODFORD...STARK...PEORIA AND MARSHALL
COUNTIES UNTIL 100 PM CDT...

AT 742 AM CDT...WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY
HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA. SPOTTERS REPORTED STANDING
WATER IN MOSSVILLE ON ROUTE 29 A QUARTER MILE NORTH OF ROUTE 6.
ADDITIONAL RURAL AND CITY ROADS ARE LIKELY BEING AFFECTED BY THE
HEAVY RAINFALL. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN COULD FALL
THROUGH 10 AM... ON TOP OF THE 2 TO 3 INCHES ESTIMATED BY DOPPLER
RADAR ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE ADVISORY AREA.

RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO
OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
CANTON...GALESBURG...LACON...LEWISTOWN...PEORIA...ABINGDON...
ALTONA...AVON...BRADFORD...BRIMFIELD...CAMP GROVE...CASTLETON...
CHILLICOTHE...CUBA...DUNLAP...ELMIRA...ELMORE...ELMWOOD...FAIRVIEW...
FARMINGTON...GERMANTOWN HILLS...GILSON...HANNA CITY...HENRY...
IPAVA...KNOXVILLE...LA FAYETTE...LAURA...LONDON MILLS AND MAQUON.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF FLOOD WATERS. ONLY A FEW INCHES OF
RAPIDLY FLOWING WATER CAN QUICKLY CARRY AWAY YOUR VEHICLE.

REPORT FLOODING TO THE NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY SO THAT THEY
MAY TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO CLOSE FLOODED ROADWAYS. THEY WILL
RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
ILLINOIS AND EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL ARE EXPECTED EARLY THIS
MORNING...WITH ADDITIONAL STORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING. LOCALIZED FLOODING MAY OCCUR ON ROADS NEAR LOW LYING
AREAS. SEVERE WIND AND HAIL ARE NOT ANTICIPATED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. HIGH
TEMPERATURES WILL CLIMB INTO THE LOWER 90S AND PEAK HEAT INDEX
VALUES WILL RISE ABOVE THE 100 DEGREE MARK SATURDAY THROUGH
MONDAY.
