THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS...NORTHWEST ILLINOIS...WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...EAST
CENTRAL IOWA...NORTHEAST IOWA...SOUTHEAST IOWA AND NORTHEAST
MISSOURI.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER MUCH OF THE AREA FROM
LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THE BEST CHANCE OF
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE OVER EAST CENTRAL IOWA. STORMS ARE NOT
EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE...BUT A FEW MAY PRODUCE HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND
SMALL HAIL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IS FORECAST FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ARE THREATS WITH ALL THE
STORMS. AN ISOLATED STORM FRIDAY NIGHT COULD BE SEVERE AND
PRODUCE HAIL AND STRONG WINDS...BUT THAT CHANCE IS VERY LOW.

A BETTER CHANCE FOR SEVERE WEATHER IS INDICATED SATURDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING MAINLY SOUTH OF I-80 WHERE THE SPC HAS
POSTED A SLIGHT RISK. THE CAP WILL DELAY THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY
UNTIL EVENING WHEN THE AIR MASS WILL BE VERY UNSTABLE AND HAVE
SUFFICIENT SHEAR TO SUPPORT ORGANIZED CONVECTION. INITIALLY THE
RISK WOULD BE FOR LARGE HAIL BUT THEN EVOLVE TO A WIND THREAT
DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED TODAY OR TONIGHT.
