PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions or forecasts change.

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Illinois River at Valley City
* until further notice.
* At  6:30 PM Saturday the stage was 18.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to continue falling to a stage of 18.2 feet
  by Monday morning.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Illinois, east central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west
central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

There is a chance of thunderstorms this evening. There is an
enhanced risk of severe storms this evening, with damaging winds
the primary hazard. Large hail and an isolated tornado are also
possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

Isolated thunderstorms are possible Sunday. Storm chances return
again on Friday and Saturday. The threat of severe storms is low
during that time frame.

Flooding will continue along Illinois River the entire period.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed between 7 and 11 pm this
evening.
