...TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT INDICES THIS AFTERNOON...

THE COMBINATION OF TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 90S AND
HIGH HUMIDITY WILL PRODUCE HEAT INDEX VALUES AROUND 100 DEGREES
IN AREAS SOUTH OF A LINE EXTENDING FROM PERRYVILLE MISSOURI TO
OWENSBORO KENTUCKY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY CONTINUE FOR
MOST ALL OF THE AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EARLY EVENING. PERSONS
SPENDING CONSIDERABLE TIME OUTSIDE THIS AFTERNOON SHOULD SLOW
DOWN...TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS AND DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS.

ILLINOIS...SOUTHWEST INDIANA...WESTERN KENTUCKY AND SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE. LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINFALL AND DEADLY LIGHTNING WILL BE THE PRIMARY CONCERNS.

IN ADDITION...HEAT INDICES AROUND 100 OR SO WILL BE LIKELY SOUTH
OF A LINE EXTENDING FROM GREENVILLE;E MISSOURI TO GREENVILLE
KENTUCKY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY...A FAIRLY ENERGETIC UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM
FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST FROM THE PLAINS AND
ACROSS THE OHIO AND MID MISSISSIPPI VALLEY REGIONS. THIS SYSTEM
MAY YIELD A SLIGHTLY BETTER CHANCE OF STRONG TO POSSIBLY SEVERE
STORMS ALONG WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL THAT MAY RESULT IN SOME
FLOODING. THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY WITH RESPECT TO WHERE
EXACTLY THE BEST CHANCES WILL BE.

A CHANCE OF NON SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAY LINGER INTO FRIDAY.
