ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL OCCUR SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 WITH
AMOUNTS OF AROUND AN INCH TO POSSIBLY TWO WELL SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 80. TO THE NORTH...THERE COULD BE SOME MINOR SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS LESS THAN AN INCH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

...WINTRY MIX CHANGING TO WET SNOW TODAY WITH GUSTY NORTHEAST
WINDS...

A MIX OF RAIN AND WET SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA THIS
MORNING...FOLLOWED BY A CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW FROM NORTHWEST TO
SOUTHEAST THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON. A BAND OF MODERATE SNOW IS
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP SOUTH OF THE INTERSTATE 80 CORRIDOR BY LATE
MORNING TO EARLY AFTERNOON...WITH 1 TO 2 INCHES OF ACCUMULATION
POSSIBLE FROM THE STREATOR AND PONTIAC AREAS...EAST THROUGH
KANKAKEE...WATSEKA AND RENSSELAER. FARTHER NORTH...LESS THAN AN
INCH OF SNOW IS EXPECTED FOR AREAS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80. THE
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF LATER THIS AFTERNOON.

IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW...IT WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY WINDY BY
MIDDAY...WITH NORTHEAST WINDS GUSTING TO 30 MPH. THIS MAY RESULT
IN PATCHY BLOWING SNOW RESULTING IN REDUCED VISIBILITY...NAMELY IN
OPEN AREAS.

PERSONS PLANNING TRAVEL ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL AND EAST
CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA TODAY SHOULD PLAN FOR
SOME WINTRY TRAVEL CONDITIONS. ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR
DESTINATION SAFELY.
