THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST OHIO...
NORTHERN INDIANA AND SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY BE STRONG
TO LOCALLY SEVERE ALONG AND NORTHWEST OF INTERSTATE 69 IN INDIANA
AND MICHIGAN EARLY THIS EVENING. HEAVY RAINFALL WITH THUNDERSTORMS
MAY LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLOODING.

THE HEAVY RAINFALL THREAT WILL SHIFT SOUTH AND EAST LATE
TONIGHT...EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE FOR STORMS AGAIN ON LABOR DAY...ESPECIALLY
IN THE AFTERNOON INTO THE NIGHT TIMEFRAME. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL
THAT SEVERE STORMS COULD DEVELOP. DAMAGING WIND GUSTS ARE THE
PRIMARY CONCERN WITH A LESSER RISK FOR LARGE HAIL.

A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS LINGERS INTO TUESDAY...THOUGH SEVERE
STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED.

THERE IS ANOTHER CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY NIGHT INTO
FRIDAY.

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTH CENTRAL ELKHART COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL INDIANA
  NORTHWESTERN BRANCH COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN
  SOUTHEASTERN CASS COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN
  ST. JOSEPH COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN

* UNTIL 630 AM EDT

* AT 1234 AM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN PERSISTING ACROSS THE ADVISORY
AREA. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ACROSS THE ADVISORY
AREA...WITH NEAR 4 INCHES BETWEEN CONSTANTINE AND THREE RIVERS
MICHIGAN. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE
EARLY THIS MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...
COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND
OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
