THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Flooding is expected along portions of the Kankakee River in
northwest Indiana.

In addition, large waves will make swimming hazardous in Lake
Michigan today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
  Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday...
  Limited Flooding Risk.
  Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

In addition...Flooding is expected along portions of the Kankakee
River in northwest Indiana.

find an alternate route.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Kankakee River at Shelby.
* until late Sunday night.
* At 1045 AM Thursday the stage was 9.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will hold steady near 9.4 feet this
  afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday evening.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet...Lowland agricultural flooding begins.
