  The Tippecanoe River above Winamac
* until further notice.
* At 4 AM Sunday the stage was 14.6 feet and falling.
* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to 14.6 feet around  7 AM
  Sunday February 25 with additional rises possible thereafter.
* At 15.4 feet...Record flooding is in progress.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.5 feet which occurred
  on Jan 7 1993.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/
THIS MORNING...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * West winds behind a cold front increasing to 30 mph with gusts
   to 45 to 55 mph overnight.

 * The strongest wind gusts are expected for a 2 to 4 hour
   period from west to east overnight into early Sunday morning
   in association with a cold front tracking across the area.
   Gusty winds will continue through the day Sunday, but wind
   gusts will diminish to around 30 mph later Sunday morning.

IMPACTS...

 * Loose items such as garbage cans will be blown around in
   these gusty winds. Secure your belongings. Driving high
   profile vehicles will also become difficult overnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or gusts of
45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest
Michigan...northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Brief southwest wind gusts to 50 mph are expected overnight as a cold
front tracks eastward.

Widespread flooding will continue today and tonight over portions of
northwest Indiana into far southwest Lower Michigan, but the water
will recede at most locations. Major flooding will continue on
several area rivers with record crests at some points. For the latest
river warning and crest information, please refer to the Northern
Indiana webpage and flood warnings, statements, and the flood watch
issued by this office.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

River flooding will continue into early next week across the area.

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers and
creeks in Indiana...

  Big Blue River...Big Walnut Creek...Buck Creek...Clifty Creek...
  Driftwood River...East Fork White River...Eel River...Flatrock
  River...Mill Creek...Mississinewa River...Muscatatuck River...Sugar
  Creek...Tippecanoe River...Wabash River...White River...Wildcat
  Creek...Youngs Creek...


.Extensive river flooding continues to develop across central and
southern Indiana and will continue through much of next week. Near
major flooding is possible in some areas of southern Indiana.
Flooding may exceed levels seen in early May 2017 by 1 to 2 feet in
some areas.

Rainfall of 4 to 6 inches fell in southern Indiana this week. An
additional inch inches will fall in central and
southern Indiana by Sunday morning. Much of this rain will fall on
Saturday night.

High water will close numerous state and local roads and possibly
affect residential areas. Sharp river rises are possible during the
remainder of the weekend.

Heavy rainfall is not expected in northern Indiana.  Rivers and
streams in the upper Wabash River Basin have crested and will
slowly recede through the weekend.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Persons with interests in flood prone areas that are not protected by
levees should take precautions immediately. Keep children from
flooded areas. Motorists should travel high ground routes and avoid
roads that frequently flood.

Many roads in southern Indiana will be flooded by several feet of
water. Do not even think about driving through flooded roads..You
will not make it.

* until Wednesday evening.
* At  8:45 PM Saturday the stage was 10.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* At 10.5 feet...Extensive lowland flooding in progress.  Additional
  local roads begin to flood.  Water levels becoming dangerous as
  property damage may begin and a few evacuations may be necessary.

  the Tippecanoe River AT Oakdale Dam at Lake Freeman near Yeoman.
* At  9:25 PM Saturday the flow was 16660 cfs.
* Flood flow is 13000 cfs.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood flow by
  early Monday morning.
* At 18000 cfs...Extensive flooding with some evacuations and property
  damage with flows from Oakdale Dam between 18,000 and 22,000 cubic
  feet per second.  Major flooding may develop.  All local roads
  along the Tippecanoe River in Carroll, White and Tippecanoe
  counties flood.
