THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL...NORTH
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA THIS MORNING,
MAINLY NORTHWEST OF A COUNCIL GROVE TO SENECA LINE. LIGHTNING WILL
BE THE PRIMARY HAZARD.

THIS AFTERNOON...ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP ALONG A
FRONT IN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS. THESE STORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
FORECAST AREA THROUGH THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. THE BEST
CHANCE FOR A FEW SEVERE STORMS WILL BE IN FAR NORTHERN KANSAS.
DAMAGING WIND AND HAIL WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREATS WITH ANY SEVERE
STORMS.

THE HEAT INDEX WILL RISE INTO THE 100 TO 105 RANGE THIS AFTERNOON
WITH THE HOTTEST CONDITIONS WEST OF A COUNCIL GROVE TO SENECA
LINE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED AGAIN ON SUNDAY...MAINLY IN AREAS NEAR
AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 70. LOCALLY DAMAGING WIND AND MARGINALLY
SEVERE HAIL WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGEST STORMS.

THERE IS ANOTHER SMALL CHANCE FOR STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS LATE
MONDAY...MAINLY OVER NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE THAT SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED IN
NORTHERN KANSAS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
