THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL...NORTH
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

THE RANGELAND FIRE DANGER CATEGORY IS VERY HIGH THIS AFTERNOON
FOR MOST OF NORTH CENTRAL...NORTHEAST AND PORTIONS OF EAST
CENTRAL KANSAS. WIDESPREAD SOUTHERLY WINDS BETWEEN 15 AND 25 MPH
WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH WILL CONTINUE. RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL
REMAIN AROUND 30 PERCENT ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS THROUGH LATE
AFTERNOON.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY TO DEVELOP OVER SOUTHERN NEBRASKA AND
NORTHWEST KANSAS ALONG A COLD FRONT DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND
EARLY EVENING PERIOD. THESE STORMS WILL TRACK INTO NORTH CENTRAL
AREAS BETWEEN 7 PM AND 10 PM...BECOMING MORE WIDESPREAD IN
COVERAGE ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA FROM MIDNIGHT THROUGH SUNRISE
THURSDAY. A FEW STORMS MAY BE SEVERE FOR AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF A
LINE FROM HIAWATHA...TO COUNCIL GROVE. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND
GUSTS ARE THE MAIN HAZARDS. PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE
FOR THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ONCE AGAIN ON THURSDAY...MAINLY
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 35. A FEW STRONG STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE NEAR
AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 35 IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS IN THE LATE
AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED THIS EVENING FOR THE AREAS
PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED IN NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST KANSAS.
