THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST...NORTH CENTRAL AND
WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI...AS WELL AS EXTREME EASTERN KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

 SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING
 AND AFTERNOON HOWEVER...SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.THIS EVENING
 A CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED OVER NORTHEASTERN KANSAS AND
 NORTHWESTERN MISSOURI WITH SOME OF THESE STORMS POSSIBLY BEING
 SEVERE. THE MAIN CONCERNS WILL BE FOR LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS
 WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ISOLATED TORNADO. ONGOING RIVER FLOODING
 WILL ALSO CONTINUE TO BE A CONCERN TODAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

 SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE AGAIN TUESDAY WITH THE
 CHANCE FOR AN ISOLATED SEVERE STORM.

 SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEK
 HOWEVER...SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT ANTICIPATED AT THIS TIME.

 THERE ARE EARLY SIGNS THAT HEAVY RAIN MAY RETURN TO THE AREA NEXT
 WEEKEND WITH ADDITIONAL OR CONTINUED RIVER FLOODING POSSIBLE.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri...Kansas...

  Blackwater River at Valley City affecting Johnson and Pettis
  Counties.

  Blackwater River near Blue Lick affecting Cooper and Saline
  Counties.

  South Grand River at Urich affecting Bates...Cass and Henry
  Counties.

  Stranger Creek at Easton affecting Atchison and Leavenworth
  Counties.

  Wakenda Creek at Carrollton affecting Carroll County.

  Crooked River near Richmond affecting Ray County.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive through flowing water. Nearly half of all flood
fatalities are vehicle related. As little as 6 inches of water may
cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Two feet of water will
carry most vehicles away.This product along with additional weather

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Stranger Creek at Easton.
* until Tuesday afternoon.
* At  9:47 PM Sunday the stage was 20.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  early Monday afternoon.
* At 20.0 feet...All roads out of easton except for highway 192 west
  of 231st street in easton are closed.
* At 19.5 feet...Highway 192 just east of easton is closed due to
  swift current of water over the road.
* At 18.0 feet...1st street in easton and 231st street north and
  south of easton begin to flood.
* At 17.0 feet...Water enters low-lying fields south of easton.
