THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL
INDIANA AND CENTRAL KENTUCKY.

.DAY ONE... LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

THE COMBINATION OF TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 90S AND HIGH
HUMIDITY WILL LEAD TO LATE AFTERNOON HEAT INDICES PEAKING IN THE
100 TO 105 DEGREE RANGE. ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA THIS
AFTERNOON. ANY STORM WILL BE CAPABLE OF HEAVY RAINFALL...GUSTY
WINDS AND INTENSE CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST AT TIMES THROUGH THE PERIOD IN AN
UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN. THE BEST CHANCE FOR RAIN LOOKS TO BE
AHEAD OF A FRONT APPROACHING THE AREA MONDAY AND STALLING OVER THE
REGION TUESDAY. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...GUSTY WINDS...AND
LIGHTNING WILL BE A THREAT WITH ANY STORM.

* TEMPERATURE...HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE AFTERNOON WILL WARM INTO
  THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 90S. THESE TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH
  DEWPOINTS IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 70S WILL PRODUCE HEAT INDEX
  READINGS IN THE 100 TO 105 DEGREE RANGE THIS AFTERNOON. A LITTLE
  MORE MOISTURE OVER THE REGION SUNDAY WILL MEAN ANOTHER DAY WITH
  HEAT INDICES GETTING CLOSER TO THE 105 DEGREE RANGE IN THE
  AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS...IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE...RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING. KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE. WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN
POSSIBLE AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.
