* CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA.

* UNTIL 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ THIS EVENING.

* SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL REDEVELOP
  THIS AFTERNOON...WITH LOCALLY TORRENTIAL RAINFALL POSSIBLE.

* LOCAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH
  ANY STORMS THIS AFTERNOON. IN LOCATIONS THAT HAVE ALREADY
  RECEIVED HEAVY RAINFALL...EVEN A BRIEF DOWNPOUR WILL LIKELY
  RESULT IN FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

* AT 1041 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
INDICATED   VERY HEAVY RAINFALL FROM A THUNDERSTORM OVER CENTRAL
METCALFE COUNTY.

AN INCH OF RAINFALL HAS FALLEN OVER THE PAST HOUR IN METCALFE COUNTY
ON TOP OF A VERY SATURATED GROUND.  THIS HAS LEAD TO CREEKS AND
STREAMS RISING TO BANKFULL AND LOW LYING AREAS BECOMING PARTIALLY
FLOODED.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF A HALF TO THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH
WILL FURTHER AGGRAVATE THE FLOODING PROBLEM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

HEAVY RAINS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS STORM MAY PRODUCE PONDING OF WATER
ON ROADWAYS. MOTORISTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE EXTRA
CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL
INDIANA AND CENTRAL KENTUCKY.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. IN AREAS
THAT HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED HEAVY RAINFALL...EVEN BRIEF HEAVY RAIN
WILL BE ENOUGH TO CREATE FLOODING PROBLEMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

A WEAK UPPER DISTURBANCE WILL MEANDER AROUND THE CENTRAL
APPALACHIANS THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK...WITH ADDITIONAL ROUNDS OF
ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE MAINLY EACH
AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

BY MID WEEK...ANOTHER FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL APPROACH AND STALL
NEAR THE AREA BRINGING MORE ROUNDS OF SCATTERED STORMS. HEAVY
RAINFALL WILL AGAIN BECOME A THREAT WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM DURING
THIS TIME.
