...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for East Central Indiana,
Southeast Indiana, Northeast Kentucky, Northern Kentucky and
Southwest Ohio.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the
Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   Heat Advisory.

Isolated strong to severe storms will be possible this morning with
the main threat being damaging winds.

Thunderstorms will move back into the region this evening into
tonight. Damaging winds and heavy rainfall will be the primary
threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Thunderstorms will move across the region on Sunday. Some storms may
become severe with the main severe threats being heavy rainfall and
damaging winds.

Heat index values will be in the middle to upper 90s on Sunday.

...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...are expected to be between 100 and 104
  degrees.

* TIMING...during the afternoon and early evening hours today.

* IMPACTS...Heat stroke, heat exhaustion and other heat related
  illnesses will be possible, especially if you spend a
  significant amount of time outdoors, or are involved in any
  strenuous outdoor activity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Reduce outdoor activities, especially from mid-morning through
the afternoon. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing and
drink plenty of water. If possible, spend more time in air
conditioned or well ventilated places.

To reduce risk during outdoor work the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.   Heat stroke
is an emergency, call 911.
