...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON EDT TODAY
THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts and southern
  Vermont

* From noon EDT today through late tonight

* Heavy rainfall is expected to develop along and immediately
ahead of a slow moving cold front. Bands of showers and
thunderstorms containing very heavy rainfall will slowly move
across the watch area this afternoon into this evening. Rainfall
rates may approach or exceed one inch per hour. There is a
possibility that the slow movement of the showers and
thunderstorms result in some flash flooding of urban and poor
drainage areas, especially where leaves clog storm drains.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
