SPOTTY LIGHT PRECIPITATION WILL OVERSPREAD THE REGION THIS
EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP TO THE
UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE EASTERN
CATSKILLS...TACONICS AND WESTERN NEW ENGLAND LATE TONIGHT
RESULTING IN SPOTTY FREEZING RAIN AND FREEZING DRIZZLE.

WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 1 PM MONDAY TO 7 PM EST TUESDAY.

* LOCATIONS...THE EASTERN CATSKILLS...MID HUDSON
  VALLEY...SCHOHARIE VALLEY...MOHAWK VALLEY...HELDERBERGS...CAPITAL
  REGION...TACONICS...BERKSHIRES...AND LITCHFIELD COUNTY
  CONNECTICUT.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATION OF 2 TO 6 INCHES.
  THE HIGHER TERRAIN WEST OF THE HUDSON RIVER VALLEY WILL SEE THE
  GREATEST ACCUMULATION. SOME LOCATIONS COULD HAVE 1 TO 2 INCHES
  OF SLEET.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...A TRACE TO A TENTH OF AN INCH.

* TIMING...THE PRECIPITATIONS WILL BEGIN AS A MIXTURE OF RAIN AND
  SLEET DURING THE LATE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON SOUTH AND WEST
  OF THE CAPITAL REGION. THE PRECIPITATION WILL OVERSPREAD THE
  MOHAWK VALLEY...CAPITAL REGION...AND BERKSHIRES DURING THE
  AFTERNOON AS SNOW...SLEET AND RAIN. THE PRECIPITATION WILL
  TRANSITION TO SNOW AND SLEET IN THE EARLY EVENING AND PERSIST
  INTO TUESDAY MORNING NORTH OF THE MID-HUDSON VALLEY. SLEET WILL
  MIX WITH THE RAIN IN THE MID HUDSON VALLEY...SOUTHERN
  TACONICS...AND NORTHWEST CONNECTICUT. ALL THE PRECIPITATION MAY
  CHANGE TO A BRIEF PERIOD OF RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN LATE TUESDAY
  MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...ICE...SLEET...SNOW AND SLUSH COVERED ROADWAYS WILL
  MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS TRAVEL. UNTREATED WALKWAYS...DRIVEWAYS AND
  SIDEWALKS WILL BE VERY SLIPPERY.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 TO 55 MPH.
  THE STRONGEST GUSTS WILL BE OVER THE TACONICS...BERKSHIRES AND
  LITCHFIELD COUNTY CONNECTICUT.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE 30S.

* WINDS...EAST WINDS 15 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 55 MPH.

* TIMING...THE WINDS WILL INCREASE LATE MONDAY MORNING INTO THE
  EARLY AFTERNOON. THE STRONGEST GUSTS IN THE 45 TO 55 MPH RANGE
  ARE EXPECTED IN THE MID AFTERNOON THROUGH THE NIGHT TIME PERIOD.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 31 TO 39 MPH ARE
EXPECTED...WITH GUSTS BETWEEN 46 TO 57 MPH. WINDS THIS STRONG ARE
CAPABLE OF DOWNING SMALL TREE LIMBS AND BRANCHES...POSSIBLY
CAUSING ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES. DRIVING CAN ALSO BE DIFFICULT...
