THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN
CONNECTICUT...CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS...EASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS...NORTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS...SOUTHEASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS...WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND AND
SOUTHERN RHODE ISLAND.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A PERIOD OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OR
FREEZING DRIZZLE TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING ACROSS NORTHWEST
AND NORTH CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MIGHT
BE NEEDED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL PASS WEST OF SOUTHERN NEW
ENGLAND ON CHRISTMAS EVE INTO CHRISTMAS MORNING. THIS SYSTEM WILL
BRING HEAVY RAINFALL WITH POTENTIAL FOR SOME URBAN/POOR DRAINAGE
FLOODING.

ALSO...A BRIEF PERIOD OF SOUTHERLY WIND GUSTS OF 35 TO 50 MPH IS
POSSIBLE CHRISTMAS EVE NIGHT ON THE COASTAL PLAIN. A BETTER CHANCE
FOR THESE WIND GUSTS WILL OCCUR CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON AND NIGHT
ACROSS THE ENTIRE REGION...AS THE WINDS TURN WEST.

FINALLY...SPLASH OVER AND MINOR COASTAL FLOODING IS LIKELY ON THE
EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS DURING THE MIDDAY HIGH TIDES TUESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY. MINOR COASTAL FLOODING IS POSSIBLE ON THE SOUTH COAST
DURING THE WEDNESDAY EVENING HIGH TIDE.

THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY WITH THIS SYSTEM SO STAY TUNED TO
THE LATEST FORECAST.
