This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern Connecticut, central
Massachusetts, eastern Massachusetts, western Massachusetts and
northern Rhode Island.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Hurricane Jose will bring high surf and dangerous rip currents to
some ocean-exposed beaches through much of this week. There is the
potential for significant erosion along ocean-exposed beaches during
this week.

Confidence is now high that the center of Jose will pass southeast
of Nantucket sometime Wednesday. Even with this easterly track,
there is a possibility of tropical storm force winds reaching
portions of southeast Massachusetts, with the Cape and Nantucket most
at risk. If this should happen, then scattered power outages would
be possible given full foliage at this time of year. There could also
be areas of heavy downpours.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather
conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures.
