SLIPPERY TRAVEL...

LIGHT SNOW CONTINUES TO OVESPREAD NORTHERN PORTIONS OF
CONNECTICUT...RHODE ISLAND AND MUCH OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL
MASSACHUSETTS THIS MORNING. SNOW WILL FALL MODERATELY AT TIMES AND
WILL RESULT IN SNOW ACCUMULATIONS RANGING FROM A COATING TO A FEW
SPOTS NEAR 2 INCHES. GIVEN TEMPERATURES ARE AROUND FREEZING MAIN
ROADWAYS WILL BE MAINLY WET...HOWEVER SECONDARY ROADS WILL LIKELY
BECOME SNOW COVERED WITH A SLUSHY ACCUMULATION.

FOR THE SOUTH COAST OF RHODE ISLAND AND MASSACHUSETTS TEMPERATURES
WILL REMAIN ABOVE FREEZING AND RESULT IN RAIN OR A MIX OF RAIN AND
SNOW. THUS LITTLE IMPACT IS EXPECTED HERE WITH TEMPERATURES
REMAINING ABOVE FREEZING.

PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST THIS
AFTERNOON ACROSS THE REGION...FIRST ACROSS CONNECTICUT...RHODE
ISLAND AND INTO WESTERN-CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS. LIGHT SNOW WILL
LIKELY PERSIST MUCH OF THE DAY OVER NORTHEAST MASSACHUSETTS
INCLUDING THE GREATER BOSTON AREA.
