MORNING...

* LOCATIONS...WESTERN AND CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS AS WELL AS
  SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE...

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 14 INCHES.

* TIMING...A LAST AREA OF SNOW MAY PRODUCE ANOTHER 1 TO 3 INCHES
  OF SNOW BETWEEN 130 AM AND 430 AM. THE SNOW SHOULD TAPER OFF TO
  FLURRIES AFTER 4 OR 430 AM.

* IMPACTS...PRIMARY IMPACTS CONTINUE TO BE DOWNED LIMBS...TREES
  AND WIRES DUE TO THE HEAVY WET SNOW. TRAVEL WILL REMAIN
  HAZARDOUS DUE TO BOTH SLIPPERY SURFACES AND IN SOME LOCATIONS
  DUE TO DOWNED TREES AND POWERLINES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN AN AVERAGE OF 6 OR MORE
INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED IN A 12 HOUR PERIOD...OR FOR 8 OR MORE
INCHES IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD. TRAVEL WILL BE SLOW AT BEST ON WELL
TREATED SURFACES...AND QUITE DIFFICULT ON ANY UNPLOWED OR
UNTREATED SURFACES.
