STRONG NORTHEASTERLY WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 40 KTS WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH TONIGHT AS RAIN MOVES OVER EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS...RHODE
ISLAND...AND SOUTHEASTERN NEW HAMPSHIRE. MOST OF THESE WINDS WILL
FALL BELOW WIND ADVISORY CRITERIA...THOUGH A FEW GUSTS MAY EXCEED
40 KTS. ASIDE...BECAUSE OF THE FULLY LEAVED TREES...WINDS UP TO 40
KTS WILL BE ENOUGH TO BRING DOWN TREES AND TREE LIMBS. IN
ADDITION...ANY HOLIDAY DECORATIONS THAT ARE NOT TIED DOWN WILL

* PORTIONS OF MASSACHUSETTS AND SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...IN MASSACHUSETTS...
  BRISTOL...ESSEX...MIDDLESEX...NORFOLK...PLYMOUTH AND SUFFOLK.
  IN SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE...HILLSBOROUGH.

* THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING

* AN AREA OF HEAVY RAIN WILL OVER SPREAD THE REGION THIS EVENING.
  PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE AT TIMES THROUGH THURSDAY
  MORNING...BEFORE TAPERING TO SCATTERED SHOWERS BY THURSDAY
  AFTERNOON.

* A WIDESPREAD 1.50 TO 2.50 INCHES OF RAIN IS ANTICIPATED...BUT
  LOCALIZED 4 INCH AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE. THIS MAY RESULT IN
  POCKETS OF LOCALIZED FLOODING...ESPECIALLY IN URBAN AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
