...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...

A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO REACH WESTERN
NEW ENGLAND EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. A FEW STORMS MAY PRODUCE WIND
GUSTS AS HIGH AS 60 MPH...TORRENTIAL RAINFALL AND FREQUENT
LIGHTNING...ESPECIALLY FROM THE BERKSHIRES TO THE WORCESTER HILLS
AND IN NORTHERN CONNECTICUT BETWEEN 2 PM AND 4 PM.

THE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO WEAKEN SOMEWHAT AS THEY REACH RHODE
ISLAND AND EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS BETWEEN 4 AND 6 PM...BUT COULD
STILL PRODUCE FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAINFALL.

IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS...KEEP AN EYE TO THE SKY AND HAVE A SAFE
PLACE TO GO TO IF THUNDERSTORMS APPROACH SUCH AS A VEHICLE OR
BUILDING. IF YOU CAN HEAR THUNDER...YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE
STRUCK BY LIGHTNING.
