WEDNESDAY EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR ALL OF RHODE ISLAND AND MOST OF SOUTHEAST
  MASSACHUSETTS.

* FROM LATE WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING

* SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATE
  WEDNESDAY MORNING OR EARLY AFTERNOON. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS
  MAY CONTAIN TORRENTIAL RAINFALL CAPABLE OF PRODUCING OVER 2
  INCHES OF RAIN IN LESS THAN 1 HOUR. THIS MAY RESULT IN LOCALIZED
  FLASH FLOODING ESPECIALLY IN URBAN CENTERS. THIS INCLUDES THE
  BOSTON AND PROVIDENCE METRO AREAS AS WELL AS TYPICALLY PRONE
  LOCATIONS SUCH AS CRANSTON...FALL RIVER AND NEW BEDFORD.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
