MASSACHUSETTS...NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND AND SOUTHERN RHODE ISLAND.

INTERNET FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE FOLLOWING HAZARDS.

   DENSE FOG ADVISORY.

SHOWERS WITH BRIEF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL MAY RESULT IN TYPICAL
NUISANCE POOR DRAINAGE STREET FLOODING TONIGHT...BUT NO SIGNIFICANT
FLOODING PROBLEMS ARE EXPECTED.

THE RAIN COMBINED WITH SIGNIFICANT SNOWMELT MAY CAUSE SOME AREA
RIVER LEVELS APPROACHING BANKFULL. HOWEVER...NO RIVER FLOODING IS
CURRENTLY EXPECTED. MONITOR THE LATEST FORECAST UPDATES FROM THE
NORTHEAST RIVER FORECAST CENTER AT WWW.WEATHER.GOV/NERFC.

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT.

* LOCATIONS...THE SOUTH COAST INCLUDING CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER OF A MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* TIMING...THROUGH MIDNIGHT.

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS WITH DENSE FOG RESULTING
  IN POOR VISIBILITY AT TIMES. MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO SLOW DOWN
  AS OBJECTS ON AND NEAR ROADWAYS WILL BE SEE ONLY AT CLOSE RANGE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN DENSE FOG WILL REDUCE
VISIBILITIES TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS FOR AT LEAST 3 HOURS...
RESULTING IN HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.  MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED
TO SLOW DOWN AS OBJECTS ON AND NEAR ROADWAYS WILL BE SEEN ONLY AT
CLOSE RANGE.
