MORNING...

* PRECIPITATION TYPE...SNOW

* ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 5 INCHES. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OVER 5
  INCHES IN WESTERN CARROLL COUNTY...EASTERN FREDERICK COUNTY AND
  NORTHWEST HOWARD COUNTY.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH THIS MORNING.

* TEMPERATURES...MID TO UPPER 20S.

* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BE SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY WITH
  VISIBILITIES BEING REDUCED TO BELOW ONE-HALF MILE AT TIMES IN
  SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW. THE COMBINATION OF SNOW COVERED ROADS AND
  LOW VISIBILITY WILL MAKE TRAVELING DANGEROUS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW

THROUGH 4 AM...A NARROW BAND OF SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT AN
AREA FROM CARROLL AND FREDERICK COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL MARYLAND
SOUTH ACROSS THE IMMEDIATE WASHINGTON DC METRO AND SOUTHERN
MARYLAND. OCCASIONAL BURSTS OF MODERATE SNOW WILL OCCUR WITHIN
THE BAND WHICH MAY PRODUCE BRIEF SNOWFALL RATES OF ONE HALF TO ONE
INCH PER HOUR ALONG WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN ONE
HALF MILE. TRAVEL IN THESE AREAS MAY BE HAZARDOUS DUE TO SNOW
PACKED AND SLIPPERY ROADWAYS. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO DRIVE WITH
CAUTION. THE SNOW BAND IS EXPECTED TO SHIFT EAST AND GRADUALLY
DIMINISH OVERNIGHT.
