THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA...
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL VIRGINIA...AND CENTRAL AND WESTERN MARYLAND
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GARRETT COUNTY.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT THROUGH TODAY FOR AREAS
WEST OF THE ALLEGHENY FRONT FOR SNOW SHOWERS PRODUCING UP TO 3
INCHES OF ADDITIONAL SNOW. A WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR
ALLEGANY...MINERAL...GRANT...PENDLETON...HIGHLAND COUNTIES AND THE
HIGHER ELEVATION BLUE RIDGE ZONES THROUGH THIS MORNING FOR WIND
CHILLS OF MINUS TEN TO MINUS TWENTY DEGREES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

THE NEXT ROUND OF SNOW SHOWERS AND SQUALLS IS LIKELY FRIDAY NIGHT
AND SATURDAY WITH THE PASSAGE OF AN ARCTIC FRONT. NEW WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORIES MAY BE REQUIRED WEST OF THE ALLEGHENY FRONT.

WINDS MAY GUST TO 50 MPH ON SATURDAY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE
HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

WIND CHILL VALUES BELOW MINUS FIFTEEN ARE LIKELY AT HIGHER
ELEVATIONS FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY. THE LOWEST VALUES ARE
EXPECTED SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN WIND CHILL VALUES MAY DROP BELOW
MINUS 20 AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS. WIND CHILL ADVISORIES OR WARNINGS MAY
BE REQUIRED.

THERE IS A MODERATE WINTER STORM THREAT WEST OF THE BLUE RIDGE
AND A SLIGHT WINTER STORM THREAT EAST OF THE BLUE RIDGE MONDAY AND
MONDAY NIGHT. THE SLIGHT WINTER STORM THREAT CONTINUES INTO
TUESDAY EAST OF THE BLUE RIDGE. SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL DELAYS WILL BE
POSSIBLE. PLAN AHEAD TO MINIMIZE IMPACT.
