WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GARRETT COUNTY.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. A
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF THE POTOMAC
AND ALLEGHENY HIGHLANDS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. IN ADDITION...A
WINTER STORM WATCH HAS BEEN POSTED FOR NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST
MARYLAND LATE TONIGHT. ADDITIONAL ADVISORIES...WATCHES OR
WARNINGS MAY BE POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT. A WINTER STORM WATCH
HAS BEEN POSTED FOR TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT FOR NORTH CENTRAL
AND NORTHEAST MARYLAND...WHERE THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF 7 OR MORE
INCHES OF SNOW IN 24 HOURS.

IN THE APPALACHIANS...UPSLOPE SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE INTO
WEDNESDAY.

WIND CHILL VALUES BELOW ZERO ARE POSSIBLE DURING THE OVERNIGHT
AND MORNING HOURS THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...ESPECIALLY IN THE
POTOMAC HIGHLANDS.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BALTIMORE MD/WASHINGTON HAS
ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE
TONIGHT THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT.

* HAZARD TYPE...SNOW WITH PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 6 TO 9 INCHES.

* TIMING...PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN LATER TODAY...INITIALLY AS
  RAIN OR A RAIN/SNOW MIX. THE PRECIPITATION WILL TRANSITION TO
  ALL SNOW TONIGHT AND LAST THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT...WITH PERIODS
  OF HEAVY SNOW DURING THIS TIME.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED...RESULTING IN
  HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 5 TO 10 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
