...ONE OF THE LARGEST SNOW STORMS OF THE WINTER WILL IMPACT OUR
AREA MONDAY INTO TUESDAY...

.WHILE THERE IS STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY AS TO THE TRACK AND
INTENSITY OF A DEVELOPING NOR`EASTER LATE MONDAY...THERE IS
LITTLE DOUBT THAT SNOW WILL AFFECT TRAVEL MONDAY AND TUESDAY IN
MUCH OF OUR AREA. THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR A FOOT OR MORE OF SNOW
MONDAY NIGHT FROM NORTHERN NEW JERSEY NORTHEASTWARD INTO PARTS OF

THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...

* LOCATIONS...INTERSTATE 95 CORRIDOR FROM NORTHEAST MARYLAND
  THROUGH NORTHERN DELAWARE INTO PHILADELPHIA AND INCLUDES MUCH
  OF SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA AND CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST NEW JERSEY.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW WITH BLOWING AND DRIFTING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION 6 TO 12 INCHES.

* TIMING...SNOW DEVELOPS EARLY MONDAY MORNING AND SHOULD SLOW
  THE MORNING COMMUTE. TEMPERATURES MAY BE WARM ENOUGH MONDAY
  AFTERNOON TO PERMIT MELTING OF SNOW ON PAVEMENT. THE MUCH MORE
  IMPORTANT PORTION OF THIS STORM BEGINS SOMETIME LATER MONDAY
  AFTERNOON OR EVENING THEN EVENTUALLY WINDS DOWN TUESDAY
  MORNING. BLOWING AND DRIFTING WILL OCCUR.

* IMPACTS...COULD BE A MAJOR IMPACT ON COMMERCE AND TRAVEL
  MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...MOSTLY WITHIN A FEW DEGREES OF 30 DURING MONDAY
  AND THE 20S MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES...MAINLY
  MONDAY NIGHT.

MOST OF THIS AREA WITH POTENTIAL FOR AN INCH OR 2 BY 6 AM MONDAY
IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA AND 2 TO 3 INCHES NEAR READING
PENNSYLVANIA.
