CHESAPEAKE BAY...TIDAL POTOMAC RIVER...AND ADJACENT COUNTIES IN
CENTRAL MARYLAND AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA AS WELL AS THE DISTRICT OF
COLUMBIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR SAINT MARYS AND ANNE
ARUNDEL COUNTIES FOR MODERATE FLOODING AROUND HIGH TIDE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

COASTAL FLOOD WARNINGS CONTINUE FOR SAINT MARYS COUNTY UNTIL 8 PM
SATURDAY AND FOR ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY THROUGH NOON SATURDAY. A
COASTAL FLOOD WATCH IS THEN IN EFFECT FOR ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
THROUGH MIDNIGHT SATURDAY NIGHT.

* TIDAL ANOMALY...1.5 TO 2 FEET ABOVE NORMAL.

* TIMING...WITHIN A FEW HOURS OF HIGH TIDE THROUGH SATURDAY
  EVENING. COASTAL FLOOD ISSUES MAY PERSIST INTO SUNDAY.

* EXPECTED IMPACTS...MINOR INUNDATION OF LOW LYING SHORELINE NEAR
  SOUTHWEST WATERFRONT...GEORGETOWN...AND ROOSEVELT ISLAND IN THE
  DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. IN OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA...WATER WILL REACH
  THE INTERSECTION OF KING STREET AND UNION STREET WITHIN A COUPLE
  HOURS OF HIGH TIDE.

WASHINGTON CHANNEL...8:42 PM AND 9:03 AM...
ALEXANDRIA...9:00 PM AND 9:21 AM...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
