...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM EDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN ANNE ARUNDEL...CENTRAL BALTIMORE COUNTIES AND THE
BALTIMORE CITY...

AT 1017 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THE HEAVIEST THUNDERSTORMS
HAVE EXITED THE AREA. HOWEVER...FLASH FLOODING REMAINS A THREAT DUE
TO RUNOFF FROM ONE TO TWO INCHES OF EARLIER RAINFALL.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
BALTIMORE...COCKEYSVILLE...UNION SQUARE...PIKESVILLE...GUILFORD...
GWYNNS FALLS...HOWARD PARK...CLIFTON PARK...LOCUST POINT...ROLAND
PARK...FALLSTAFF...LOCHEARN...WOODLAWN...CARNEY...PARKVILLE...
HAMPTON...BROOKLYN PARK AND TOWSON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

  NORTHWESTERN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...
  SOUTHEASTERN HOWARD COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...

* UNTIL 100 AM EDT

* AT 953 PM EDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED FLOODING IN
  SOUTHEASTERN HOWARD COUNTY. GORMAN ROAD IS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH
  WATER. IN ADDITION...SMALL STREAMS IN THE AREA CONTINUE TO RISE
  FROM RECENT HEAVY RAINFALL AND MAY FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  COLUMBIA...SEVERN...ELKRIDGE...CROFTON...ODENTON...FORT MEADE...
  SAVAGE-GUILFORD...SCAGGSVILLE...HARMANS...JESSUP...HANOVER...
  SAVAGE...SIMPSONVILLE...GEORGETOWN...ILCHESTER AND LINTHICUM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

COLUMBIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE FROM HEAVY RAIN INTO THIS
EVENING... PARTICULARLY IN URBAN AREAS. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WITH DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IS ALSO POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
