COLUMBIA.

RAIN AND SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS EVENING BEFORE CHANGING TO SNOW
OVERNIGHT. A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE BALTIMORE
METROPOLITAN AREA TONIGHT AND A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN
EFFECT FOR THE WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA TONIGHT. SEE

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BALTIMORE MD/WASHINGTON HAS
ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
10 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM EST WEDNESDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH
IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* PRECIPITATION TYPE...SNOW

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 8 INCHES...WITH
  LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* TIMING...PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN THIS EVENING INITIALLY AS A
  RAIN AND SNOW MIX. THE PRECIPITATION WILL TRANSITION TO ALL SNOW
  BY MIDNIGHT AND LAST THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT...WITH PERIODS OF
  HEAVY SNOW DURING THIS TIME.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED...RESULTING IN
  HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

* WINDS...NORTH 5 TO 10 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW
ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN
