* LOCATION: OCEAN SIDE OF WORCESTER COUNTY MARYLAND...BAY AND OCEAN SIDE OF
  ACCOMACK AND NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES OF VIRGINIA.

* HAZARDS: MINOR COASTAL FLOODING...A HIGH RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS AND
  DANGEROUS SHORE BREAK ALONG THE OCEAN.

* TIMING: MINOR COASTAL FLOODING WITH THE HIGH TIDE CYCLE THIS MORNING.
  ADDITIONAL TIDAL FLOODING POSSIBLE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY. HIGHEST THREAT
  FOR RIP CURRENTS OCCURS WITHIN THE FEW HOURS PRIOR TO LOW TIDE... ALTHOUGH
  DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS WILL BE POSSIBLE AT ANY TIME THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* IMPACTS: INUNDATION OF WATER IN AND NEAR LOW-LYING COASTAL AREAS COULD LEAD
  TO ROAD CLOSURES AND FLOODING OF PROPERTY. DANGEROUS SHOREBREAK OF 4 FEET OR
  GREATER CAN CAUSE NECK AND SPINAL INJURIES...AFFECTING EVEN THE MOST ABLE
  SWIMMERS.

* SURF HEIGHT: 5 TO 7 FEET.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS...WAVE
ACTION AND / OR TIDES WILL COMBINE TO CREATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS
ALONG THE SHORE...AND NEAR TIDAL RIVERS AND CREEKS. BE PREPARED
FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF ROAD CLOSURES AND MINOR FLOODING OF
PROPERTIES. IF TRAVEL IS NECESSARY...DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE
THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR

* A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST MARYLAND...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  AREAS...DORCHESTER...INLAND WORCESTER...MARYLAND BEACHES...
  SOMERSET AND WICOMICO.

* UNTIL NOON EDT TODAY.

* THE THREAT FOR FLOODING CONTINUES THIS MORNING DUE TO HEAVY RAIN
  OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS AND SATURATED SOILS. SCATTERED TO
  NUMEROUS SHOWERS WILL PERSIST OVER THE WATCH AREA THROUGH MID TO
  LATE MORNING. AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES WITH LOCALLY
  HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE. THEREFORE THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH
  REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON TODAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
