THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN UPPER
MICHIGAN AND CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS COMBINED WITH NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING OVER
25 MPH WILL PRODUCE BLOWING SNOW AND POOR VISIBILITY AT TIMES EARLY
THIS MORNING OVER THE SNOW BELTS OF ALGER AND SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTIES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

THERE MAY BE A BRIEF PERIOD OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW FOR THE
NORTHWEST WIND SNOWBELTS ALONG LAKE SUPERIOR SATURDAY. NORTHWEST
WINDS GUSTING OVER 30 MPH MAY ALSO CAUSE BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED
VISIBILITY...ESPECIALLY ALONG LAKE SUPERIOR.

WIND CHILL VALUES WILL LOWER TO 15 TO 25 BELOW ZERO LATE SUNDAY
NIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING.

OFFICIALS WILL BE RE-OPENING M-28 BETWEEN KAWBAWGAM ROAD IN
MARQUETTE COUNTY AND MUNISING AT 5 AM. IF TRAVELING M-28 THIS
MORNING...SLOW DOWN AND BE EXTRA CAREFUL IN OPEN AREAS...WHERE
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW COULD STILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO UNDER A
MILE AT TIMES.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS AND PATCHY BLOWING SNOW WILL SLOWLY
DIMINISH THIS MORNING...AND SHIFT MAINLY TO THE EAST OF MUNISING
EARLY THIS AFTERNOON.
