URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...LATE SEASON WINTER STORM WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT UPPER
MICHIGAN THROUGH THE NIGHT...

.LOW PRESSURE OVER NORTHERN IOWA WILL LIFT NORTHEAST...CROSSING
UPPER MICHIGAN THURSDAY. AS A RESULT...HEAVY...WET SNOW WILL CONTINUE
TO SPREAD ACROSS WEST AND CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN DURING THE NIGHT AND
INTO THURSDAY MORNING. THE MOST PERSISTENT...HEAVY SNOW DURING THE
NIGHT WILL FALL OVER WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN. WHILE THERE WILL BE
BREAKS IN THE SNOWFALL OVER PORTIONS OF CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN...
ESPECIALLY SOUTH CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN DURING THE NIGHT...A PERIOD
OF HEAVIER SNOW SHOULD OCCUR THURSDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY
DIMINISH FROM WEST TO EAST DURING THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON ON
THURSDAY. MANY PLACES OVER WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN WILL SEE STORM
TOTAL SNOWFALL AROUND ONE FOOT.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT
THURSDAY...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * SNOW...POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES...WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT
   AND INTO THURSDAY MORNING. HOWEVER...THERE WILL BE PERIODS OF ONLY
   LIGHT SNOW DURING THE NIGHT EAST OF CRYSTAL FALLS. A PERIOD OF
   HEAVIER SNOW SHOULD SWEEP ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY MORNING BEFORE
   THE SNOW DIMINISHES AND ENDS.

 * BY EARLY THURSDAY AFTERNOON...STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
   SHOULD RANGE FROM 5 TO 8 INCHES EAST OF CRYSTAL FALLS TO AROUND 12
   INCHES WEST AND NORTH OF IRON RIVER.

IMPACTS...

 * WITH HEAVY...WET SNOW ON ROADWAYS...TRAVEL WILL BE ESPECIALLY
   HAZARDOUS. PERSONS PLANNING ON TRAVELING SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR
   DANGEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS.

 * THE HEAVY...WET SNOW WILL ALSO BE DIFFICULT TO SHOVEL AND PLOW.

 * A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER
   WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT
   AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS.
