THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN...
EASTERN UPPER MICHIGAN...AND ADJACENT NEARSHORE WATERS OF LAKE
MICHIGAN...LAKE HURON..AND LAKE SUPERIOR.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

A ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO IMPACT MUCH OF NORTHERN
MICHIGAN THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. THUNDERSTORMS ARE
FORECAST TO DEVELOP ACROSS NORTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN AFTER NOON AND
PROGRESS NORTHEASTWARD THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA UP THROUGH
6 PM. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE...WITH THE MAIN THREATS
BEING DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS. THE
GREATEST RISK FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ALONG AND SOUTH OF
M-72.

THERE IS A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS TODAY ON THE LAKE MICHIGAN
BEACHES OF NORTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN...AS WELL AS THE BEACHES ALONG
US-2 IN WESTERN MACKINAC COUNTY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY. AS IT STANDS NOW...THE BEST CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND THURSDAY NIGHT.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. SPOTTERS
ARE ENCOURAGED TO RELAY ANY SEVERE WEATHER OR RAINFALL REPORTS TO
