...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
MONDAY MORNING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Michigan, south central Michigan,
  southwest Michigan, and west central Michigan, including the
  following areas, in central Michigan, Gratiot, Isabella,
  Mecosta, and Montcalm. In south central Michigan, Clinton,
  Eaton, and Ionia. In southwest Michigan, Allegan, Barry,
  Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa, and Van Buren. In west central
  Michigan, Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana.

* From Saturday afternoon through Monday morning

* Periods of rain Saturday afternoon through Monday morning
  could result in rainfall totals of 2-4 inches. Locally higher
  amounts cannot be ruled out in or near thunderstorm
  development.

* Low lying areas prone to flooding may accumulate standing
  water as steadier rain falls late Saturday through early
  Monday. Low lying farm land and roadways could become flooded
  for a period of time into early next week. Drivers are
  reminded not to drive over flooded roadways as water depth and
  road conditions under water are unknown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

A strong spring storm system will head toward the Great Lakes over
the weekend. This will bring the rain with embedded thunderstorms
into the area by Saturday night. The rain and embedded
thunderstorms will continue into Monday morning. By then most
areas of Southwest Michigan should expect between 1 and 3 inches
of rain. Some areas may see more than 3 inches of rain. This will
result in localized flooding of flood prone area.
