...THE FLOOD ADVISORY CONTINUES FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN SOUTHWEST
LOWER MICHIGAN...

  ROGUE RIVER BELOW ROCKFORD AFFECTING KENT COUNTY
  PINE RIVER AT ALMA AFFECTING GRATIOT COUNTY
  GRAND RIVER AT IONIA AFFECTING IONIA COUNTY
  MAPLE RIVER AT MAPLE RAPIDS AFFECTING CLINTON COUNTY
  FLAT RIVER NEAR SMYRNA AFFECTING IONIA COUNTY

...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND RAPIDS HAS ISSUED A FLOOD
ADVISORY FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN...

  WHITE RIVER ABOVE WHITEHALL AFFECTING MUSKEGON COUNTY

.LIGHT RAIN IS EXPECTED TO MOVE IN THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY. LESS
THAN A QUARTER INCH IS EXPECTED...WHICH SHOULD NOT HAVE A
SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON RIVER LEVELS. RIVER LEVELS HAVE MOSTLY
CRESTED AND ARE NOW ON THE DECLINE. THE FOLLOWING FORECAST IS BASED
ON OBSERVED AND FORECAST 24 HOUR PRECIPITATION.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...CAUTION IS URGED WHEN WALKING NEAR RIVERBANKS.

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE AND RIVERS ARE
FORECAST TO EXCEED BANKFULL.  IF YOU ARE IN THE ADVISORY AREA REMAIN
ALERT TO POSSIBLE FLOODING... OR THE POSSIBILITY OF THE ADVISORY
BEING UPGRADED TO A WARNING. REPORT OBSERVED FLOODING TO LOCAL
EMERGENCY SERVICES OR LAW ENFORCEMENT AND REQUEST THEY PASS THIS
INFORMATION ON TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.

* UNTIL LATE SUNDAY NIGHT.
* AT 09 PM WEDNESDAY THE STAGE HAD FALLEN TO 5.9 FEET.
* BANKFULL STAGE IS 5.0 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 6.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO FALL.
* IMPACT...AT 6.0 FEET...EXPECT MINOR FLOODING OF SEVERAL COTTAGES...
  CANOE LIVERIES...AND FARMLAND ALONG THE RIVER

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND RAPIDS HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MUSKEGON COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MICHIGAN...

* UNTIL 930 PM EDT THURSDAY

* AT 914 PM EDT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED AREAS OF FLOODING
  ARE STILL OCCURRING. MANY SECONDARY ROADS ARE STILL UNDER WATER.
  ROADWAY REPAIRS ARE ONGOING. SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS HAVE PEAKED
  AND ARE BEGINNING A SLOW FALL. FLOOD WATERS WILL SLOWLY RECEDE AND
  CONDITIONS WILL NOTICEABLY IMPROVE OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...MUSKEGON...
  WHITEHALL...BLUE LAKE...CANADA CORNERS...CLEAR LAKE...MEINERT
  PARK...MOORLAND...MUSKEGON ARPT AND WHITE LAKE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. DO
NOT ENTER THE WATER. TURN AROUND AND MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO
ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN
WATER BEGINS RISING.
