THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST LOWER
MICHIGAN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS MAY OCCUR
TODAY DUE TO WIDESPREAD RAINFALL OF AN INCH OR MORE AND THE
MELTING OF THE RECENT SNOWFALL.

THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF A THUNDERSTORM EARLY THIS MORNING ALONG
AND SOUTHEAST OF INTERSTATE 69. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.

SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE LATER THIS MORNING AND
THIS AFTERNOON. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE FURTHER SOUTHEAST
TOWARD BATTLE CREEK...LANSING...AND JACKSON. WIND GUSTS OF 45 MPH
WILL BE LIKELY...WHICH WILL CAUSE SOME SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES AND
BROKEN TREE BRANCHES.

RAIN WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS
EVENING. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO ACCUMULATE...ESPECIALLY FURTHER
NORTHWEST TOWARD LUDINGTON...BALDWIN...AND PENTWATER THIS EVENING
AND THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED
AND SLIPPERY. SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL ALSO BE
POSSIBLE...MAINLY NEAR THE LAKESHORE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE AREA ON TUESDAY
MORNING...BEFORE DIMINISHING TUESDAY AFTERNOON. ROADS WILL REMAIN
SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND RAPIDS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 4 PM EST TUESDAY.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW EARLY THIS EVENING.

 * MODERATE SNOW WILL FALL AT TIMES WITH SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING
   SNOW POSSIBLE.

 * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO LOCALLY 5 INCHES OF SNOW WILL FALL
   FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH THE DAY ON TUESDAY.

IMPACTS...

 * ROADS WILL BECOME AND REMAIN SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY THIS
   EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY.

 * THE COMMUTE TUESDAY MORNING IS EXPECTED TO BE IMPACTED.

 * VISIBILITIES WILL DROP DOWN TO BELOW A MILE AT TIMES IN SNOW
   AND BLOWING SNOW.
