THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DETROIT/PONTIAC HAS ISSUED AN

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHERN GENESEE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN...

* UNTIL 1100 PM EDT

* AT 754 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA.
  DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED AN INCH AND A HALF TO TWO INCHES.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO
  OCCUR...ESPECIALLY ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND NEAR LOW WATER
  CROSSINGS. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE MINOR FLOODING
  INCLUDE...CLIO...FLUSHING...MOUNT MORRIS AND OTISVILLE.

TRAINED SPOTTERS REPORTED FLOODING OF ELMS AND PIERSON ROADS IN
FLUSHING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AN ADDITIONAL HALD INCH OR LESS OF RAINFALL IS STILL POSSIBLE IN THE
ADVISORY AREA BEFORE THE SHOWERS AND STORMS COME TO AN END.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. DO NOT
DRIVE THROUGH AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST
MICHIGAN.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE LIKELY LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS
EVENING...ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 69. AN ISOLATED SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM RISK STILL EXISTS THROUGH 9 PM...MAINLY FROM DETROIT
SOUTH. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT WITH
AN ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM POSSIBLE AGAIN AFTER 3 AM. THE
STRONGEST STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WIND TO 60 MPH AND
HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER. STORM MOTION WILL BE SOUTHWEST TO
NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ON SUNDAY AS COOLER AIR RUSHES
INTO THE REGION. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CARRY A HAZARD OF WIND
GUSTS TO 40 MPH AND SMALL HAIL.
