LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK ACROSS PORTIONS OF
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS. THROUGH 1 PM...THE
COVERAGE OF SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE GREATEST BETWEEN THE M-59 AND
I-69 CORRIDOR. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR BRIEF BURSTS OF HEAVIER
SNOW SHOWERS...PARTICULARLY ACROSS THIS CORRIDOR. ANY HEAVIER
BURSTS MAY RESULT IN A QUICK ACCUMULATION OF LIGHT SNOW ON AREA
ROADS. IN ADDITION...REDUCTION OF VISIBILITY BELOW 1 MILE WILL BE
POSSIBLE. MOTORISTS SHOULD REMAIN AWARE OF POSSIBLE CHANGES IN
DRIVING CONDITIONS TODAY.

SUNDAY NIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DETROIT/PONTIAC HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WATCH, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING
THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * A LONG DURATION OF LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL AFFECT THE AREA,
   RESULTING IN STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL OF 5 TO 9 INCHES BY LATE
   SUNDAY NIGHT.

 * LIGHT SNOW WILL BEGIN BETWEEN 5 AM AND 9 AM. THE HIGHEST
   INTENSITY SNOW IS EXPECTED SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE
   MOISTURE CONTENT OF THE SNOW WILL ALSO INCREASE DURING THE
   COURSE OF THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

 * THERE IS STILL UNCERTAINTY IN THE INTENSITY OF THIS STORM
   SYSTEM AS IT MOVES INTO THE REGION. THIS WILL HAVE A LARGE
   IMPACT ON STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL.

 * ROADS WILL LIKELY BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLICK, IMPACTING
   TRAVEL ACROSS THE AREA.
